The insert is arranged in up to three layers, with a gap along one side for the map tiles and character boards. All the card trays are sized for sleeved cards. All the trays are removable from the box and can be used during game play to keep the table tidy.
These pictures show the trays without the game components inside so that you can see the colour print designs. Every tray includes images from the rulebook or game cards and boards.
The images greatly improve the look of the trays, but also help in game clear up as you can instantly see what goes where.
When packing the box, first place the rule books on top of the insert tray. Lastly add the Clank! scoring board on top of the rule books. This fully fills the box without any lid lift and allows for vertical storage of the game.
